Calibrating my monitor is like the bane of my existence, not really… ok kinda. I spent an hour in i1Profiler adjusting the gamma, turning on and off the lights, opening and closing the curtains patiently recalibrating. Cringing every time I had to touch my monitor (which by the way is a a big no no to any designer and/or photographer, and may be met with great disdain. you have been warned.) with the X-rite device, I settled with a range that I was comfortable with. Not knowing what to expect I sent it out to Mpix, Mpix Pro and Miller.
I don’t know about you, but it’s like Xmas every time I get prints in! And this time isn’t any different, they came out perfect! The E-surface paper looks great! Isn’t Jake a cutie?
Bonus: I tested the Metallic Photographic Paper too. There is just something very effervescent about this material! I will be sending in for more samples of Metallic and Pearl, which is another paper I think will add a little more umph to a picture. I’ll post pictures when I got those in. I’m not sure what to do with this print though, I don’t want to really put it behind glass in a frame afraid that it will take away from the shimmer. I’ll have to figure out how I want to display this. Any ideas?
